13 Crafts For Your Teen Girl

Last week my oldest daughter turned 13.  That’s right, 13!  She’s the craftiest girl I know and is always involved in some Do-It-Yourself project or another.  She didn’t get that gene from me, and as a result I am constantly amazed with her creations!  In honor of her 13th birthday, I asked her to pick her 13 favorite projects to share with all of you.  These crafts are perfect for any teen girl.  We hope you have as much fun with them as we have.  Drumroll please…

  1. Melted Crayon Art
  2. Candles Made From Oranges
  3. Legos (or Barbie Shoes) Liquid Soap
  4. Knockoff Elastic Headbands
  5. Friendship Bracelet Earbuds
  6. Make Your Own Bubble Gum Machine
  7. Watermelon Slushy
  8. Tutu Bed Skirt
  9. Chocolate Balloon
  10. Crayon Valentines
  11. Finger Knitting
  12. Paint Chip Bookmarks
  13. Jewelry Displays

Happy 13th birthday LRD.  I love you so much and am so proud to be your mom.  You amaze me each and every day!

    Hi,
i am a tween and was looking for projects to make for my friends and I came upon this site. I read the list of art projects and thought they all sounded really cool, so I clicked on ‘Candles made from Oranges’ and it brought me to a wedding site. I got confused so I clicked on ‘Melted Crayon Art’ and it brought me to a website that looked right. I searched “melted crayon art” though and it didn’t have any results. I was wondering if you could explain to me because I really want to make that because I think it looks really cool.
    Thank you.

When I click on the melted crayon art, it never gives any direction… I wanted to try this with my title next door neighbor. She is 11and I think she would really enjoy. Please test ink again. Thanks

So, I was googling some craft ideas and like others above found this, I thought it was a little weird because all of those are my favorite crafts to do and I even had to ask my mom if it was her blog secretly, but I just thought I would let you know that I think it is cool that you are posting these.

Great ideas! My oldest daughter will be turning 13 in a bit and I was looking for ideas for her “tea party”! I like the chocolate balloon idea for the sorbet I am planning on making – do I need to coat the balloon with anything first?
