Of course we can all find plenty of ways to waste time on the internet, but here are a few of my favorite online resources to help busy moms like me survive!

Cozi.  I have been using the free Cozi online calendar for years, and it has kept me, my husband, and our kids on track (and usually on time)!  You can add all of your events and appointments, color code your schedule by family member, and receive email or text reminders if you’d like. You can access Cozi from your computer or smart phone.  Without this calendar I doubt I’d know whether I was coming or going!

E-mealz.  I’ll admit up front that I am not a fan of meal planning or grocery shopping.  E-MEALZ Easy Meals for Busy and Frugal Families makes both easy for me.  For a low subscription fee of $5/month you get all of your dinners planned for you and a corresponding grocery list.  You can even pick the store you like to shop at, and they select menus that correspond with that stores weekly specials.  And, they just launched a menu based on the new Weight Watchers Points Plus plan.  I love it because it saves me time and money, and my family enjoys home cooked meals that are tasty and healthy.

Evite.  Overwhelmed by sending invitations to birthday parties, team celebrations, supper clubs, or other get togethers?  Evite offers a quick and easy way to send invitations for free as long as you have email addresses for your guests.  I used to spend a lot of time and printer ink making invitations, but not anymore thanks to Evite!

My Job Chart.  Need a fun way to motivate your kids to get their chores done? Then this free online chore chart is for you!  My Job Chart is a modern take on paper and pencil chore charts and has really helped me to keep my children engaged in their household responsibilities and enthusiastic about completing their chores.

Take Them A Meal.  When you need to coordinate meals for a friend or loved one, Take Them A Meal can help.  This free resource offers a centralized site to coordinate meal schedules, special diet instructions, and delivery information.  You can also use this for scheduling snacks for your child’s class or sports team.  They recently added a  service for coordinating potlucks, also for free!

Fly Lady.  Overwhelmed by clutter and chaos in your home?  Check out Fly Lady as she walks you through organizing, decluttering, and cleaning your home from top to bottom with free advice and resources for all her sink shining friends.

List Plan It.  I love a good list and List Plan It puts the templates for every list imaginable right at your fingertips.  Subscriptions begin at $20 a year, but there are several useful lists available for free in their trial section.  Amazing resource for list lovers like me.

You Version.  Want to read the Bible, but don’t ever seem to find the time? Try You Version, a free Bible online application that allows you to read the Bible at your own pace or on a reading plan.  You can access it from your computer or smart phone on the go.

All Recipes.  Need a good recipe to make tonight?  Spend a minute on All Recipes and you’ll find just what you’re looking for.  This free resource boasts more than 40,000 recipes with tons of family friendly dishes.

Remember the Milk. PC World says that this free service “reinvents the to do list.”  Remember the Milk is an online to do list that makes managing tasks and to dos easy and fun.  With apps available for smart phones you can take your to do list with you everywhere and never forget the milk again.
