War Eagle! Glad you found us. I’m so excited to have you here for the Focused Moms Challenge. We’re all guilty of saying “In a minute, Mommy’s busy,” when really we’re not! Hopefully this challenge will help us all (me included!) get back to prioritizing our children over the other day-to-day distractions that are thrown at us. I am totally in!! I am guilty of taking the time to do stuff that is NOT important and putting my kids on hold. It doesn’t happen all the time, but once is too often.
Can’t wait to start this, I’m always up for a challenge.
By the way…..I’ve got to say War Eagle!!! My family is from Opelika and Dothan, my sister lives in Auburn and my dad was an Auburn Tiger so it was nice to see on a blog hop.

Oh come on Kelly, I know you can do homework! LOL! Good tip, don’t read the challenges when you’re driving. I wonder if I should put that as some sort of warning or something. We are watching Harry Potter in our van right now and my kids are shouting the same thing. Too funny. Glad to have you in the challenge!

So happy to have you in the Focused Moms Challenge! My laptop is quite a distraction to me, but then I also need it for work so it’s hard to figure out the balance sometimes. Loved your last blog post about Homework and the Kindergartener. I have a kindergartener with no homework yet, but my 5th and 8th grader make up for it every day! UGH!

Tahnie, you make a great point! I was a nanny too and was able to focus on the kids then with no problem. But at my home my mind is often wandering to the dishes that need doing and the laundry that is piling up (not to mention what’s for dinner?). Your daughter is such a blessing! I can’t wait for this! I was a nanny for 4 years prior to becoming a mommy and I feel like when I was a nanny, I could focus solely on the kids because my mind wasn’t scanning the room, making mental notes of everything that needed to be done. My daughter is our miracle as there are only a few other women in the world with my illness, Cystinosis, who have been about to have children. I bask in her every day, but I am always striving to be a better momma!
