Eat Dinner With Your Kids Tonight!

Did you know that today is Family Day:  A Day To Eat Dinner With Your Children?  Family Day began in 2001 as a grassroots effort by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University.

Ten years later, Family Day is now a nationwide celebration.  Why?  Because research has consistently shown that children who are raised in families that eat dinner together regularly are less likely than their peers to drink, smoke, or use drugs.  Not only that, these children are more likely to be healthier, get better grades, and communicate better with their parents.

So tonight, I’m going to make a special effort to eat dinner with my children, and I encourage you to do the same.  For more tips on how to make the most of the family dinner hour at your house all year long check out these great resources:
